EveryMode Privacy Policy

Information on your devices

EveryMode stores the routines, workout history, sets, repetitions, weights, equipment preferences, notes, and settings you enter on iPhone. Outdoor phone workouts can include location routes, distance, and elevation.

Your paired Apple Watch receives routine and workout information and sends workout commands, measurements, and completed sessions to iPhone. Watch temporarily retains pending updates until iPhone acknowledges them and stores session information for recovery after interruption.

This information is used to record sessions, display progress, and synchronize your paired devices. The app’s workout storage is excluded from device backups. EveryMode does not provide its own cloud backup or account synchronization service.

Apple Health

Apple Health access is optional. On iPhone, EveryMode requests permission to read workouts, heart rate, resting heart rate, active energy, steps, exercise minutes, and walking, running, and cycling distance. It requests permission to save workouts and distance. Watch requests access to live heart rate, energy, distance, and workout recording. You decide which permissions to grant.

EveryMode uses this information for workout recording and fitness displays. Health information is not used for advertising or sold. Apple Health’s own storage and synchronization are controlled by Apple and your device settings. Changing permissions does not automatically delete previously saved information.

Location and external services

On iPhone, location is used during outdoor workouts to estimate distance, speed, elevation, and a route. Recording can continue while a workout is active and the screen is locked. You can deny location access, pause or end recording, or change permission in device Settings. Without location permission, route and GPS metrics are unavailable.

Route displays use Apple Maps. Exercise-video search links open YouTube or your browser and send the selected exercise search to that service. Those services apply their own privacy policies. No exercise-video search occurs until you open a link.

Retention and deletion

Local routines and history remain until you delete them or remove the app. Delete routines and workouts from their lists in EveryMode. Health workouts may also need to be managed in the Health app if Health access is unavailable or synchronization fails.

Removing EveryMode does not automatically erase previously saved Health workouts. Remove the companion app as well to remove local Watch data. Previously saved AI-provider keys from development versions can be removed under Settings → Privacy & data.

Small synchronization records containing identifiers rather than workout details are retained to prevent delayed messages from recreating deleted workouts. There is no EveryMode account to delete.

Support email and this website

If you contact support, your email address and the information you choose to send are processed to respond to your request. Support email is forwarded through WordPress.com to a Gmail inbox. These providers process messages under their own policies. Please do not include sensitive Health records or precise location details unless necessary for your support request.

Support correspondence may remain in the support inbox while needed to handle your request and follow-up. You can request deletion by emailing the support address below.

This website is hosted on WordPress.com. Website hosting and statistics may process visit information, such as IP addresses, browser information, and cookies, separately from the app’s on-device workout data. See Automattic’s privacy policy, Google’s privacy policy, and Apple’s privacy policy for their services.
