EveryVerse Privacy Policy

EveryVerse is a Scripture-reading and memorization app developed by Tim Miller. Its core features do not require an EveryVerse account. The app does not operate an advertising service or a remote analytics service and does not sell personal information.
Information on your devices
EveryVerse stores selected passages, memorization progress, review history, reading position, translation choices, and app settings locally on iPhone. Your paired Apple Watch may receive saved passage content and progress information from iPhone and return updates needed to keep the devices in sync. This information is used to provide reading, practice, review, and progress features. EveryVerse does not provide its own account-based cloud synchronization service.
Bible providers and API keys
When you request Scripture that is not bundled with the app, EveryVerse sends the requested book, chapter, verses, and translation identifier to the selected Bible provider. The provider also receives ordinary network information such as your IP address and applies its own privacy policy. Personal API keys you enter are stored in secure device storage and sent only to the applicable provider to authenticate your requests. EveryVerse does not receive a copy of those keys.
Study links and external services
EveryVerse can open BibleProject resources, public-domain study materials, and other external pages. When you choose a link, its provider receives the information normally sent by your browser. EveryVerse does not contact those services until you open a link.
Retention and deletion
Local passages, progress, and settings remain until you remove them, clear memorization statistics, or remove the app. Translation keys can be removed in EveryVerse Settings. Remove the companion app as well to remove local Watch data. There is no EveryVerse account to delete.
Support email and this website
If you contact support, your email address and the information you choose to send are used to respond to your request. Please do not include API keys or other sensitive information. This website is hosted on WordPress.com, whose hosting and statistics may process visit information such as IP address, browser information, and cookies separately from the app’s on-device data.
